“I thought it’d be crazy to be back on stage, and I have done it,” Boyle added, receiving a round of applause.

“It’s so good to see you Susan. I knew you weren’t well, but if anyone was going to come back, it was you,” said judge Simon Cowell, who has previously publicly apologised to Boyle for his unkind attitude towards her during her time on the show.

Since being crowned runner-up for her season of Britain’s Got Talent, the 62-year-old has gone on to have a Grammy nominated recording career however, despite her successes, the star has remained largely out of the public eye since the release of her first album in 2009.

“I still have my former life. I still live in the same house. My life hasn’t changed. I travel more. I see places I never thought I would see. There is nothing I miss because I have everything I had before. It’s just a little more interesting now,” Boyle previously told People.

Boyle’s return to the stage marks the first time the singer has performed publicly since her TEN tour in 2021, with the pandemic placing a halt on the singer’s plans to return to the spotlight.
